CSA

CSA Logo

Community-supported agriculture (CSA; sometimes known as community-shared agriculture) is an alternative, locally-based economic model of agriculture and food distribution. A CSA also refers to a particular network or association of individuals who have pledged to support one or more local farms, with growers and consumers sharing the risks and benefits of food production. CSA members or subscribers pay at the onset of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest; once harvesting begins, they periodically receive shares of produce.

Below you'll find an example of our CSA agreement.  Please contact us if you have any question regard our CSA or to have us email you our most current contract.

Community Supported Agriculture 2015 CSA Contract

DenverFarmer.com believes that healthy, civically engaged communities are a powerful force in the fights against hunger and for fresh, healthy food. Because of this, we have designed our products to strengthen the ties between people. Local agriculture offers not only a chance to grow local economies but the bonds between people within communities. We believe that knowing the person who grows your food should be an important part of the American lifestyle. The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program is designed to both support local, year-round growers and to provide nutritious, delicious greens and herbs to the Laramie Community with Summer, 6-month, and 1-year shares. We believe that even small programs can combat big problems in the world and are very excited to invite you to embark on this adventure with us.

ABOUT THIS CSA

The DenverFarmer.com CSA will deliver greenhouse produced greens and herbs year-round, with some vegetable crop varieties during the summer months. (A tentative crop list is attached.) Our CSA is approaching two years of operation. The CSA is harvested weekly, with available share sizes ranging from 1.5 to 5 lbs. per week. Pickup, payment, and detailed share information is listed later in this document. CSA members accept both the risks and rewards of farming when joining.

OUR PRACTICES

All of our products are grown within Laramie City Limits using sustainable, organic production techniques and (mostly) renewable energy. Our greenhouse uses towers in a vertical, hydroponic system. All pest control is accomplished using OMRI (organic) certified controls and methods. We invite CSA members to come and learn about our greenhouse and production techniques first hand on Farm Tour Days (dates TBA).

WHAT’S NEW?

This period, we’re excited to offer a new Summer Share in addition to our 6-month and 1-year CSA offerings.
