In the following articles, we will explore some of our favorite salad recipes from the interweb.  We will be totally transparent and give credit where credit is due.   We are farmers, not nutritionist, so we can honestly say that we haven't come up with any of these recipes.  We have, however, tried each and find them flavorful and a nice change of pace from just a pile of lettuce with some ranch dressing on it. MixedGreensVinaigrette xlDenverFarmer Farmer's-Mix Salad with Vinaigrette from


5 Tbsp water
5 Tbsp water
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 1/2 cup(s)'s fresh cherry tomato(es), sliced in half, divided
1/4 cup(s) fresh parsley, fresh1 medium clove(s) garlic clove(s), minced
3/4 tsp sugar (optional)
3/4 tsp table salt
1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

12 cup(s) DenverFarmer Farmer's-Mix mixed greens 


Place all ingredients, except 1 cup of tomatoes and mixed greens, in a blender or mini-chopper; blend thoroughly (optional).

Place greens and remaining 1 cup of tomatoes in a medium bowl and toss with dressing. Yields about 1 1/2 cups of mixed greens and 2 tablespoons of dressing per serving.
